Healthy Families to Medi-Cal Transition

Assembly Bills 1494 and 1468 provide for the transition of children from Healthy Families Program (HFP) to the California Medi-Cal program. Medi-Cal will cover these children under a new optional coverage group known as the Targeted Low-Income Children's Program (TLICP).

Healthy Families Transition Training Toolkit

These materials were developed the CWDA Healthy Families Transition Training Workgroup. They are intended to be used by county human services departments for the purposes of training county eligibility staff affected by the 2013 Healthy Families to Medi-Cal transition. Counties should feel free to adapt these materials for use in their specific business process models.
